Hi, We’re the jonker famILY

Growing up in the midwest, we have a deep-rooted appreciation for what farming can do for local communities. After spending 10 years working in Silicon Valley, 2020 brought the opportunity of a lifetime - move to the country and work on a new project as a family. Through a stroke of luck, we quickly connected with a team of local experts and started building our dream — Noble Goat Orchard & Farm. Providing nourishing produce for our community is an honor, a privilege, and is not something we take lightly. We are passionate about helping others, and are grateful to be able to do-so from our backyard.

  • Jon is the Head of Farming Operations at Noble Goat. After growing up on an 80 acre cattle farm in northeast Kansas, he started his professional journey in the green industry over a decade ago at Family Tree Nursery, where he was in charge of production management. In March of 2022, together with his wife and their two dogs, Jon moved from Kansas to take over all farm management responsibilities. Jack of all trades and master of “farm fixes,” he loves being with the crops or in an open field toiling away at some project. All that said, we’ve got a sneaking suspicion he’d rather be fishing for “smallies” on the Russian River.

A Self-sustaining business

We’re passionate about building a long-term operation that can self-sustain. For our first 2 years, all produce was donated to give families in our community access to high quality food.

Starting in the Summer of 2022, our produce is for sale at the Healdsburg Farmer’s Market on Saturdays.

A Regenerative farm

And while we’re at it, we’d like to leave the earth a little better than we found it. Reinvigorating the soil, and restoring the biodiversity, will not only lead to higher-nutrient produce, but will also increase carbon drawdown and support climate improvement.
